Accessing Alumni Outlook Email Account

Alumni can access their @alum.mit.edu Outlook email account in two ways: through webmail or by configuring an email application.

Webmail Access:

1. Go to http://outlook.office.com in your web browser.

2. Sign in with your alumni email address (example: timbeaver@alum.mit.edu).

3. If prompted, choose Work or School account (not personal).

4. You will be directed to the MIT Touchstone login page. Enter your alumni username (example: timbeaver) and password.

Email Applications:
You can add your alumni email account to:

• Apple Mail (https://alum.mit.edu/sites/default/files/2024-10/Apple_Mail.pdf)

• Outlook (https://alum.mit.edu/sites/default/files/2024-10/Outlook.pdf)

• iPhone (https://alum.mit.edu/sites/default/files/2024-10/iPhone.pdf)

• Android (https://alum.mit.edu/sites/default/files/2024-10/Android.pdf)

Important Note:
Versions of Outlook older than Outlook 2019 are not compatible with @alum.mit.edu email accounts. Use Outlook 2019 or newer, or access your account via Outlook webmail.
